Sunset Beach, voted #1 beach in all of North Carolina by Duke University, is breathtakingly lovely! We have nesting turtles and voulenteers help monitor the nests. The adjacent island is Bird Island and it's not inhabited, it's a nature lovers dream. Ours sand is packed so that you can ride bycicles along the breaking waves, and on to Bird Island, too.
