If you’re looking for a glimpse into the exciting lives of your favorite professional sports heroes, then 14-year NFL veteran and former Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne might be your perfect way in—at least according to a new article from Realtor.com.
The site pointed out that in the wake of Wayne’s release from the Indianapolis Colts, he’s decided to rent out his impressive waterfront condo in Miami, Florida for the paltry sum of $5,999 per month (what’s the extra dollar at that point, really?).
What $6,000/month of sweet Miami Luxury Looks Like
Located in the high-end Three Tequesta Point community on the corner of Brickell Key, Wayne’s 2 bedroom condo is a classic Miami dream home. As you can see in the above slideshow, it’s a pretty impressive pad with beautiful bay views, a whirlpool hot tub and refreshing splashes of natural light. Over 1,900 square feet in size, Wayne’s condo has plenty of room for entertaining and breathtaking views you could spend all day just staring out at.
Outside (and downstairs), you’ll find a covered Port Cochere-style entrance for maximum privacy, followed by an opulent and soaring lobby. There’s also a full health club (with aerobics studio) and a billiards room where you might bump into some of your new celebrity neighbors.
$6,000 definitely sounds like a stiff asking price, to be sure, but some units at Three Tequesta go for upwards of $8,500 each month with sale prices ranging up to almost $7 million for nicer residences.
While Wayne’s future as a footballer remains up in the air—he remains a free agent and at 36 years of age might have trouble finding a long-term contract in the NFL—an asset like this one must be great peace of mind right now. Being able to generate an excess $6,000 each month (before taxes and fees) can offer a steady flow of income while he works out his next steps.
