My mother and I have been living in the Dominican Republic for almost 14 years, having moved here from Germany. I speak german, english and spanish fluently.
Living in the Dominican Republic has been a most rewarding and exciting experience- with the year-round tropical weather, laid-back lifestyle, breath-taking beautiful scenery and friendly Dominican people. I bought my Caribbean dream home through CENTURY 21® Juan Perdomo. Certainly there are challenges for folks who are not familiar with the culture and language and as I have successfully and comfortably acclimated into this culture, I am happy to pass my experiences along to others. Most importantly to my clients it is my willingness and accessibility to assist them in settling in and becoming part of this country after haveing purchased their dream property. I have experienced most of the challenges that they will experience, and so I will be able to help guide them through issues they might encounter.
I help to "save" a beach with a group of friends of mine in my free time. We are a non profit organisation made up of members from the surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing comunity.(which now reprresents 32% of the economy of Cabarete) As we all live in the Dr and all regularly use the Playa Encuentro area, we realise that Encuentro has become an intergarl part of Cabarete. Our mission is to ensure unhindered public access to Playa Encuentro and also to improve the various Playa Encuentro areas in full harmony with Encuentro’s natural surroundings. Through our efforts and with the supprort and help of our donors, we feel confidant that we will realise our dream of making Playa Encuentro and Cabarete the premier watersports destination of the Atlantic. We have organized three major surf contests and are working on this years event.
