    Do not move here....

    This place is a dump. Full of a ton of kids who make a ton of noise, run around all the time like its a playground. A lot of car break ins and A ton of shady people hanging around. They let just about anyone live here, just so all the units are full. A lot of the units have 5 or 6 people<br/>Living in them. A ton of noise constantly, drugs, dogs barking all day and night, no parking....not a good vibe. Manager is a great guy, but got dealt a bad hand in trying to Deal with all these people. Moved out after 1 month, it was that bad.

    Be Aware

    I would agree with the previous post. I was living with a girlfriend here and<br/>was totally unimpressed. It is right next to two bus stops and a trailer park<br/>so the location is horrible. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I agree<br/>with the previous post as well, kids are everywhere screaming at all hours, it<br/>was so annoying. A ton of wierd and creepy people hang around, made me very<br/>scared to come home late. Fortunately I moved out, but unfortunately my friend<br/>still lives there. People come in and out of houses at all hours of the night.

    This is a sweet deal

    Recently open copper rock development need new people, they have teh supply but lack in demande which make the price go down. very nice appartment on the boarder of tempe and scottsdale. I love how the major paprt of the appartment is made of tile so it's easy to clean . The people ae really nice and easy to deal with. Alot of cute girl's :) mainly 2009 and 2011 i feel lucky leaving near them hehe, beside'des that nice pool area volley ball area barbecue, the office manager is really helpful and u can't go wrong with a price less than 710 hehehe

    Nice place to live

    I found the people in the complex very welcoming. Ground were well kept and clean, other than the odd tenant not keeping up after their dog. The location can't be beat for the price.

    Terrible reviews. the problem is not kicking out the trouble makers period. And that's management's fault. There's a lot of finger pointing going on but the fact is that front corner has always been a problem. The guys who loiter the front pool every night and leave their beer bottles and dope baggies around not cool. 2001, no body cares to hear you, your TV or your music nor do we care to SEE you wonder the community half dressed in drunken states so stop unscrewing the bulb out front, close your doors and windows and dress appropriately. The real sad fact is the place is shitty because no one does anything about it, just terrible. Names and photos coming soon

    Retards at front pool every night all night right by the managers unit and she (lori) does nothing. She is a poor manager to let 1003, 2001 and 1058 do drugs all the time out in the open, management's apartment also stinks like marijuana, hmm... On site laundry is very scarey, basketball court missing floor, dog run has holes in fence, glass in pool and spa, missing fire extinguishers, nothing works in fitness room, dope baggies all over, meth addict tried burning down management's building by burning his unit which made the news just a few months ago, bbqs have no grills, lights don't work, security guard is a racist joke of authority, you fight with neighbors because there's not enough parking, all the fights, yelling, drinking, drugs at unit 2001 every day and I mean every day, come see for yourself. Farrell cats coming from 1003 and 2039 or 2040 that the complex cages and uethanizes instead of sending to shelters. All of us owners have security screen doors but it is horrible sad to have to live like this. Wish Abraham ansil the owner of the complex would spend 1 night here but he is also a joke who has been stealing hoa funds, yes I said it, he is a crook. Dont live here!!!

    Heed the Warnings

    As you read the reviews about this location. It has been 5 years since it had a decent all around review. It has truly gone down hill since then. The location and price is what it has going for it.<br/><br/>This is not the ideal location for peace of mind. I have lived here through 9 different tenants. If you are blue collar or white collar then you will not like it here. <br/><br/>The previous posts about the kids being out of control is correct especially when school is out. They did have the security team but they have now disappeared without a trace. The previous management guy, Curtis, they let him go and he was a cool guy. There was cops there at unit 1002 about every other day or weekend, the daughter really has a mouth on her. <br/><br/>If you are on the side behind the dealership. Then you hear loud music from the guys cleaning or managing the cars. You smell folks using that medical Mary Jane and even if its not you still smell it. You have neighbors waking you up out your sleep at night talking loud outside your window, in the parking lot and slamming their gates.<br/><br/>Rules and regulations on Reserved parking are not fairly enforced. You have people taking your parking space and there is nothing really you can do about it especially if you work a regular 9-5. Those that don't work are able to get your car towed and those that do work the daily grind 9-5 and taking classes have to come home to someone in their parking space. And you can't go to the office because it's after hours.<br/><br/>So as I said earlier, "Heed the Warnings" there is truth to those reviews.<br/><br/>Take Care<br/>

    worse place ever

    If you are female dont even check the pace out, you will be harassed on a daily basis by the thugs and drug dealers who will hang out side your door, follow you to your car making cat calls and ogling you when you are at the pool sun bathing. management and the property owners do not care about you or your property, especially your vehicles, all they want is your money so if you are a decent drug dealer or if you live with you mother and she works 2 jobs so you can hang out side till 4 am every night drinking and fighting, this is the place for you. I have lived here for 3 months now and as far as I can tell the cops are here 3 times a day, Ive heard of 3 home invasions, 4 sets of gun fire, 2 grown men being beaten to an inch of their life and one of them being found in a garbage can unconscious. multiple petty thefts, not to mention the place is roach and bed bug infested. pools are disgusting, laundry facilities is where you will be robbed so no late night laundry. hypodermic needles and crack pipes scattered around the property, beer cans in every bush and If you feel I am exaggerating please feel free to contact the property manager and ask because by law they have to admit the problems here or face criminal charges. Problem units are 1057, 1009, 1031, 2014, 1003, 2003, 2001, 1002 and 1020. like I said worse place ever.

    Unit 2002 Sean is the major problem here.

    Ever since we moved in this person has had loud parties, invites teenagers over for underage drinking get togethers, doesnt work lives on the fruits of his familys success,, overall bachelor. He hangs outside the units causing tons of raucous, has security cameras installed for no reason, but to see whos coming in and out. STALKER...steals from circkle k and litters his wine bottles all over the property. He is a major disaster. I am tired of seeing our great maintenance guy cleanup after all his mess consistently. The property manager is a great person, handles business when needed, in a professional manner. The units r well maintained, as well as the exteriors. Pool is always clean and clear of clutter.

    Unit 2002 Sean is the major problem here.

    He is the major problem here. From what ive gathered here multiple cops complaints, distributing to minors and allows them over for a place to hangout. Also loud music and parties every weekend. Rents a spare room out to whomever is valued for that month because hes behind on rent. Doesnt work , live on his families fruits and labors and live in girlfriend. Also consistently steal fron circkle k across the street and litters his wine bottles all over the courtyard. As far as ive noticed im seeing our maintenance guy who is great consistently picking up after him and his teenagers from across the street. As far as the property goes its very well maintained, interior and exteriors, pool is cleaned consistently, and property manager does a well job. She has been fantastic to rent from. I would like to see a security staff on duty to keep all the unwanted guests from entering the property or security gates installed.

    I actually own a unit here since I bought it right after it had been gutted and turned into a luxury condo community. Unfortunately, the market crashed before they had even sold out the first phase of condos. Since then, it has been through 3 management companies/owners, the last one turning it into low end apt rentals. I have lived here for 7+ years and, trust me, if it wasn't for the refi and being so up-side-down, there isn't a chance I would live here. Prior to purchasing this condo, I have always lived in nice apt communities such as Mark Taylor, etc. Well, this COULD have been something close to that even after deciding to rent out the unsold condos. Instead, they have filled it with a lot of shady people (evident in the amount of evictions that occur on a monthly basis and the fact that the manager would offer to set up payment plans if they couldn't pay rent up front - and the manager told me that himself) and the decent people who move out because of how the place is run. Are the units nice? I can't really speak to that. Mine is gorgeous. At one point they all certainly were. But, if the upkeep and maintenance of the units is reflective of the upkeep of the rest of the community, I would say probably not. They don't even replace door knobs and such with any unity. You'll see bright gold, copper (which is what all exterior was - hence Copper Rock) and some silver. The rain gutters and drains that have been replaced have never been painted to match the rest of the buildings. They haven't done anything to hide wires coming from roofs down the side of the outside walls. And don't get me started with all of the dogs and kids. First of all, I think you have to have at least 3.5 kids and 2 dogs to even live here. The earlier post where the woman said the kids stay in the grassy area, are well behaved and quiet and watched by parents at all times is literally full of it. It actually makes me wonder if it is a fake review JUST for that reason alone. Even my friends who visit comment of the amount of kids and how out of control they are. One of my very biggest complaints here is that there is no enforcement of rules and regulations and the kids run around here at all hours, screaming, throwing rocks, riding bikes/skooters/skateboards all of the time. Mgmt has sent out notices to all residents informing them they will be fined if kids ride these on the sidewalks. Due to my location, it's like I live on the skooter/bike/skateboard freeway and continually have them slamming into me, my front plate glass window and my door. I just had one kid run into me 2 days ago on a bike almost knocking me down and proceeded to tell me to stay the F out of the way (and he was about 10-12 years old). As for fines?? I call bull. Why do I say this? Because I have sent so many pictures of the kids on their bikes/skateboards/etc to the manager Curtis and they are all repeat offenders. Pretty sure if the parents were being fined as they are supposed to be, I wouldn't be sending pictures of the same kids every week. <br/><br/>Bottom line, this place has an awful lot of potential. The units at least used to be beautiful high end units and the location and amenities are also good. The maintenance man is great (Raul) and very helpful. Like I said, if the management company/community owner would just take some pride in the community, it could be a great place to live again. As it is, I'm just waiting until I can get out without losing my shirt!

    Great value for the lacation

    The value of this place is in the location. Since the complex is so close to Old Town, Fashion Square, Tempe Marketplace, Mill Ave, ASU, and the 202 free way you are close to many entertainment venues, restaurants, and shops. The complex is well maintained but not spotless. There are usually a few The parking is assigned so parking is not an issue. Also, this is a small complex so even if you have to park a "long distance away" you're still less than a minute of walking to your unit. The property manager is very helpful as is the maintenance team. The pools are always sparkling and beautiful. There is an onsite laundry room or for an additional fee you can get a combo washer/dryer in your unit. I have the combo washer/dryer in my unit and LOVE it! It washes and drys all in the same machine so i never forget to dry my laundry anymore and I do not have to go outside of my unit to wash clothes. There is a little dog run at the back of the property for pets to go to the restroom. It is not a dog park, just a fenced in dirt and gravel area for them to go potty. There are two parks less than a mile away though and each have a dog park within them. There are lots of children but they primarily stay in the middle grassy area and have to be watched by an adult at all times per property rules so there is usually little noise. The units them self are a cinder block construction so very sturdy and nearly sound proof. Most units have dual pane windows which help with electricity as well as sound. The positives far outweigh teh negatives.

    The Community at Copper Rock is kept up very well

    The Manager Curtis keeps Community looking good and guides his Landscapers and Maintenance very well. When I need something done I call or text Curtis and the next day it is done. He has to work out of his Condo and he has dogs which makes smells sometimes, but the owner should give him another Condo for the office. He also does keep crime out as he and his son and a few residents patrol at night. This area is very drug infested but he keeps it out. There are kids that do ride there scotters and bikes but I rather have that then a bunch of Meth Heads roaming the property. Overall I give a thumps up to the entire staff and recommend to live here.

    Drugs, Drugs, Drugs and insanity reside there

    Once upon a time this community was awesome but all has failed in the last year. New management is oblivious to the situations that occur during after hours. the crack squad bozos of security they also hired is a joke, they actually look more like the taliban instead of an actual security team that professionally has a uniform and discloses who they are. On top of that they will harass normal working class looking people instead of the gang-bangers who jump the fence into the pool everyday or the tweekers who plug in whatever electronics they have into the power sockets right at the fountain in front of the community. Hint* UNITS 1003, 2004, 2007 and especially 1002 thats the worse unit by far Hint* (I no longer go to the back for my own safety or I would mention others) I would strongly disagree with anyone who says copper rock is a wholesome safe community, just look at crime statistics for the area this year alone. 3 armed robberies, 3 sexual assaults, 2 arsons, multiple drug offenders, many burglaries and the pedophiles actually have numbers, its like 30 or 35 within a five miles radius just to name a few. Think twice about this area, I did. maybe in 3 to 5 years things will get better but for now, looks like a downward spiral from here. Say NO to crack

    watch out for unit 1002 joe and tina

    So I just moved here about month ago and what a major let down. this place is terrible and Im stuck here now for a year. joe, tina and their daughter are complete drug addicts with the cops coming here every day. I cant believe what scum reside at this place. funny now that I think of it but copper rock never wanted to show the units during the evening because thats when all the bad people are out in force here. what a terrible place I have to live at.

    this is not a safe area

    I can't help but laugh, yet the reviews are correct. I was awoken again last night for the 8th time this month. Loud ghetto music from cars in the parking lot. A fist fight between what I can only guess between male family members of unit 1003. Loud barking throughout the night from a big dog that is locked in a cage in front of open Window 23 hours a day in unit 2001. Drunkenness and bottles breaking at unit 1002 who I was also informed has a seriously infectious disease and the on going kid problem that is completely out of control. The male in 1002 always asks me for a cigarette every chance he gets and I don't even smoke. Sheesh. They have security here that does nothing but show up at 10 PM and leave 20 min later. We were tricked into moving here by the leasing agent so watch out this place is not what they claim it to be. I'm only writing to confirm the facts, don't get fooled like us

    I currently live at copper rock in Scottsdale Arizona and these reviews are pretty much right on but heres the real kicker. 86 out of the 114 units are owned by a guy named Abraham assil who apparently is tied to the italian mafia somehow out of las vegas and has been in the court system before for property negligence and fraud, Google the name to find out more. as for the so called security team, I have spoken with them when they were 1st hired on and corky hutchinson aka CJ the guy in charge told me personally that he and his team are active members of the aryan brotherhood out of phoenix. what a match made in heaven this bunch haha. If I had the time or money to waste to break my lease I would but I am too old to be moving around in my condition and i only hope abraham sells the place since it is up for sale and security hits the road since they have only caused more problems by messing with normal blue collar people with families. to corky personally 'GROW UP'
