We Love Living at the Mayfair
When a job change required us to relocate to Dallas in May 2007, my spouse and I looked only at condominiums and townhomes in the Turtle Creek/Uptown area. After a thorough search, we bought a 2-BR, 2-1/2 bath unit at the Mayfair and have not been disappointed. The building is relatively new, beautiful, well maintained and well managed; and in my view, it has an unbeatable location. Also, the building permits pets, and is located immediately (literally steps away) across the street from Lee Park, a great place for dog-walking, which was important to us as we are dog owners. My spouse loves the outdoor pool and we both enjoy using the Larry North-designed fitness center. The residents are an interesting mix of younger and older, singles and couples, working professionals and retired persons. The overwhelming majority are pleasant and considerate neighbors. About a year after we purchased our unit and moved in, the building underwent a transition to a different professional management company, which is the kind of change that sometimes can be highly disruptive to a high-rise community; and that change was made smoothly and without significant incident. Overall, we are delighted that we decided to purchase and live at the Mayfair and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in high-rise condominium living.
