The Aquitania was constructed in 1923 as a hotel to house movie stars of the then-thriving Chicago film scene; a conversion into residential units has maintained the ornate charm of this Classical Revival-style building which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A great place to live
I absolutely love this building. It is right on Lincoln Park. In the summer it is the best place to be. The condos are hugh. That is something you do not see anymore. And they are so quiet. In the winter you have great views of the city and park and it is always toasty warm inside. If you have a pet you are among friends with a dog park close by. The bus stops right out front to run you downtown. I would say the building is very secure because you have a doorman on duty at all times, and they are really nice people! I would like to see an exercise room in the building and at this time there isn't one. If there was I think I would rate this building a 4.8.
