The Minorca is a good building that has a decent location in Coral Gables. It is a short walk away from miracle mile but it is a little far from everything else. However being in the location that it is in you don't need to leave for anything other than work. It has restaurants near by and other famous attractions such as the Venetian pool and the Biltmore. The building also has a unique facility which is a putting green. This is great for avid golfers or people interested in working on some putting.
The only thing this building has going for is is location. The management is a joke, incredibly unprofessional, maintenance is nonexistent. The amenities (pool, outside areas, gym) are a joke. Compared to the other buildings in the area, there is no reason to even consider The Minorca. It does not belong in Coral Gables.
The Minorca Condominium, at 2030 S. Douglas Road, is ideally located in the heart of The City Beautiful (Coral Gables, Florida). This eight-floor Mediterranean revival style building was completed in 2005. Just like many of its neighboring buildings, The Minorca rooftop is lined with Spanish tile. The Minorca consists of 120 residential units on the top 5 floors. Units range in size from 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms to one exceptional two-level penthouse. Each residential unit has a balcony with beautiful city views, an upgraded kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, as well as a master bathroom with marble-tiled floor, jacuzzi and shower. The 37 commercial and retail units house professional services such as a dentist office, various real estate companies, and a law practice. The commercial units on the ground floor will have a beauty salon, a cafe and other retail stores as well as ample metered parking. Complimentary visitor parking for the commercial and retail units can be accessed through the garage entrance on Minorca Avenue. On the fourth floor, there is a recreation room, an exercise room, an infinity pool, jacuzzi, yoga lawn, and a terrace lined with palms (Renovated 2018). All of these facilities are for the private use of the Minorca Condominium membership. A professional management company is on site to manage all aspects of the building during business hours. After hours and on weekends, a 24-hour security service is on duty to ensure a comfortable and safe environment. Also, the Minorca Condominium enjoys secured and guarded garage parking.
