Don't do it
Don't do it. Their office staff are horrible, oh, they'll be friendly at first, but turn as soon as you end the lease. The maintenance staff, will tell you to run a flush through your non-functioning dishwasher and swear that your hot water heater is fine, even when you clearly smell gas. And your security deposit? You can forget that. You'll see cracks in the walls and ceilings, critters are in your kitchen and that balcony you are seeing in the brochure from you bedroom? It's not there anymore. But they won't tell you that unless you confront them about it. DON'T DO IT.

Not worth the money
Moving from California, I thought anything for around $1000 for a 2 bedroom was a good deal. Even though I really like the area, there are several problems that I have seen after living here for about a year:

1. BUGS: centipedes/millipedes (whatever they are called) are quite common, including spiders in the summer. Which may be due to the non-sealed windows and multiple holes in the screen. Which brings up my next point..
2. WINDOWS: the second bedroom is at least 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the apartment in the winter. The windows are so painted and stripped, they won't open in the summer without banging on them for 15 minutes (or just plain won't open at all). The top of the window frames also drop down, resulting in 1/2 to 1 inch cracks between the cold frigid air and the apartment. Managment will blame the heating bill on the vaulted ceilings, but a large portion of it is poor insulation and sealant of windows and doors.
3. MAINETANCE: don't ever expect to have anything fixed or replaced on the weekends (they aren't here) and usually takes 72-96 hours to fix anything.
4. COMMUNITY REPAIRS: we get letters once or twice a month saying that we have to move cars, things on our porch, animals, etc. for mainetance/repairs/work. Although we like that management wants to repair the parking lot and wood siding, requiring us to move things this often is little ridiculous. Parking is already an issue here, and having to move our cars somewhere else (but we can't park in other areas to avoid problems for the other residents) means parking far away. Also, we have a small dog and we often are told to confine our animals so management can do community wide indoor repairs. Sometimes we are only told 1 or 2 days ahead of time. As we both work, this makes it very difficult to make arrangements.
5. COST: not worth $1000+/month for a small apartment with issues above and minimal storage, as well as no reserved parking space. Not to mention the increase in rent by $100-200 a month every time you renew your yearly or biyearly lease, which just makes me feel unimportant.

I would recommend this place if you can deal with the above and just want a good, safe location within close proximity to Westport and the neighboring interstates; however, the cost is too much for the degree of quality and problems.
