    This building has the worst managment

    This building and the mangement (Margaret Hanson) are bad news. The building doesn't have a clear sign that states you can't park inside the property without a parking permit. Other buildings in the area do so clearly. When I asked the property manger, Margaret Hanson, why this was the case, her response to me was the people who live in the building are aware of this. Really? how about visitors? specially out of state visitors who don't have this rule in the state they live in? As a result of this rule my car was towed and when I approched the Margaret instead of being helpful and explaining the rules, she told me to call the towing company and speak with them. What kind of managment skill is that? I don't think the owner of the property gave her that title just because. She is there to answer questions and assist people as myself who were visiting family members. She was rude, unprofessional, and no managment skills whatsoever. The owner of this property needs to review her performance and take the appropriate actions. The least I expected from her was to walk me through the process so I know the drill. <br/><br/>My sibilings and I were thinking about buying property in that building but not any more.

    They will tow your car

    I had the same problem as the person above me. I came to visit friends here from out of state. I drove all the way from Michigan, 2600 miles, only to have my car towed when I got here. The entrance I came in from had no signs posting that cars without permits would be towed. CVC 22658a, the section of the law that allows them to tow cars, states that all entrances have to have these signs in order for the complex to be legally allowed to tow cars. Even after being told that the manager refused to pay for the tow for me. She stubbornly refused and when I told her I came through a gated back entrance she called me a liar. I had to show her pictures of the gate just to get her to believe that it even existed.<br/><br/>I would suggest staying away from this complex if you ever plan on having people visit you, there cars WILL get towed and the manager will not help you in the slightest.

    Car Towed and Poor Notification

    After I had gotten off work late at night, I went to visit friends I hadn't seen in a while. I parked in an unmarked spot, thinking it was safe and not a resident's spot and went to enjoy time with them. Hours passed and when I returned to my car it was no longer there.<br/><br/>I later learned it had been towed...you're only give 3 hours from when security spots it till the tow trucks take it away, and all the parking spots, even the unmarked and uncovered ones, were permit parking. You're to have a temp parking permit to park there, but when guests come late at night and the office is closed, how are they to get a permit? <br/><br/>The complex has a tiny sign, up on one of the covered structures as you drive in, that is barely readable and not visible at all at night...that was their only notification. They should either move the sign lower for people visiting to see or at least do what other complexes do and paint PERMIT PARKING on the ground.<br/><br/>Just horrible and the towing fee was outrageous!

    Unfriendly & Dark

    I rented here as it was cheap. My car was broken in once. Few neighbors had their cars broken in. The condo rules are unfriendly to visitors as you have to get a permit everytime. Couple of my friends had their cars towed away even though they parked in unmarked areas. This was the main reason I left this place. They dont regularly clean the pathways and roads. They let the leaves accumulate in fall season and the place looks trashed. The huge trees make the complex very dark and cold in winter leading to big electric bill.

    Very old building, have lot of rats, cockroach, dog poop on the grass

    I have been staying here from past 4 years, the location is awesome, close to everything, schools,park,library,shopping complex at walkable distance. But since the buildings are too old, I often face problems, recently there were many rats popping in the kitchen by eating the wooden thing near the dishwasher, which is causing lot of inconvenience, rats have been found in 5 houses next to mine.sometimes if there is no food available for the rats,they end up eating the carpet and the cloth napkins or whatever is available.<br/><br/>Also few houses in the first floor have cockroaches.<br/><br/>Many people have pets which is not a problem but then they don't care of the dog/cat poop,which keep lying there from many days, some people don't bother to clean the mess. Its bad for the toddlers who plays in the grass.<br/><br/>Management is kind of okay, they say it's not an apartment, its a condo, everything must be fixed by the owner, even the rat problem was taken very lightly.<br/><br/>Rents have increased alot in recent years, which the building is not at all up to those high rents.<br/><br/>Since the building is old,few houses are not renovated and still has the old stuff which needs to be repaired very often.<br/><br/>Parking problem for visitors as mentioned in the prev reviews.

    Great condos but management sucks. Management

    Great condos but management sucks. Management acts like they are doing us a favor. Really bad in communication, we are getting zero notice of repair work. Workers/contractors jumped over the fence to do inspection without even knocking on the door even when we were home. Contractors are saying its not their responsibility to give the tenants a notice and when we call office we get rude management team and when we do get notice it's never on time. ----- If you are renting or looking to rent, or looking to buy. I would look elsewhere. ---- HAO board members needs to take action against management team.
