This place is a DUMP!

Moved here in Summer of 2013.<br/><br/>1. The lobby has little to no air-conditioning<br/>2. Went over 3 days several times during the summer without air conditioning (it is central to the whole building)<br/>3. The decor is from the 80's (Burgundy, Blue and Green)<br/>4. They allow pets, but be prepared to step in urine puddles in the carpet at the elevators<br/>5. The hallways always smell of someone else's cooking<br/>6. The convenient store consists of a few cokes and and some racks of food and a dry cleaners that ships the clothes out<br/>7. Although there is 24 hour security, they allow people to walk in behind others with a keyfob and prop the back door open.<br/>8. Hallways are dingy and dark with leak stains on all the ceilings and walls<br/>9. They allow others from the outside to put advertisements on your door<br/>10. Mail is always late and put in the wrong box a lot!<br/>11. Moving in is a Nightmare!!! Not only do you have to pay $100.00 to use the freight elevator, but the backdoor is over 100 FEET from the elevator. You have to go in a double door and walk/drag/move your furniture to the freight elevator. Also other tenants constantly use the elevator while you are trying to move in.<br/>12. The management is rude and unprofessional and will nickle and dime you to death.<br/>13. You have to have Virginia Tags to get a parking pass. I've been towed 3 times here at $175.00 each!!!<br/>14. You have to pay $50 for each pet AND register them with the City of Alexandria<br/>15. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers on each floor. Other tenants from other floors can use them to if theirs are full<br/>16. Be prepared for a culture melting pot where 50% of them are rude and don't speak english<br/>17. if you want to discard anything in the large dumpster in the basement it will cost you $25.00 per person<br/>18. Forget maintenance on the weekends. I've been locked out 2 times by accident, charged $25.00 the first time and 2nd time I had to jimmy my door to get back in because nobody could get me back in.<br/>19. It's very noisy being on Duke Street, constant firetrucks, police vehicles and sirens all day long unless you are the lucky to get a view of the park.<br/>20. You only get 1 visitor pass per unit, if you have another visitor they can park in the street. My friend did that and got a $60 parking ticket from City of Alexandria Parking Patrol.<br/>21. Being an old building they shut the water off for a day at a time over 6 times since I moved in to fix pipes.<br/><br/>The only positive thing about the building is the park behind it and running trails.<br/><br/>I pay $1545.00 a month for 2 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment
