Disclaimer
it appeared to be a well renovated condo property.
Once we were settled, we ran into what we thought were minor issues. The bigger issue was CMA, the management company. They are absolutely worthless, hiring a painting company to deal with flooding issues, hardly returning calls, recently stopped our community website for owners to communicate. It's as if you're on the board, you can get things done.

As residents, we have asked to attend board meetings and were told no. We aren't even provided minutes of those meetings. The only meeting we are allowed to attend is the annual meeting where we are told things, our questions go unanswered, were told they will look into it or they have never heard of that before. All excuses. We have had floods on a regular basis both from rain, downspouts not maintained, to plumbing floods with the sewage being a constant. When we call the management office, CMA, we are told that we have to call a plumber, even though its obviously a community wide problem. Drive through our community and notice the mold on the columns, walls, and walk ways.

It's unbelievable that we've invested in what we thought was a pretty nice property only to find that we have no say so, they do what they want, as they choose the priorities. It would help if all board members lived on the property. We had one board president that was still president even though she rented her unit out an accepted a job in the new york area. Then they appoint a new president, without the knowledge that he was in the process of moving out. He rented his unit out and when this was brought up with CMA, we were told he still lived there but with another resident. Unfortunately CMA isn't familiar with all that's available on internet. He moved out and into a home not near the condo's. They left him on board as president for over a year.

Needless to same, I don't think this should be anyone's first place to buy, and if anyone should choose to buy, I hope you have patients and you're handy as you will end up fixing the little things CMA won't address. The best part of living there is the location.

Update on the Managment Company
An update to the review posted regarding the management company CMA. They are NO LONGER the management company for Carlyle Heights. I am not sure why it took so long to make a MUCH needed change, however it has finally been done!

Unfortunately at the fall board meeting, when several issues came up and Board and the Rep from the management company wouldn't provide answers, a group got together and pulled some information together proving to the community that it was time for a change.

The Entire Board choose to step down, and after about 2 months, we changed management companies. We are really looking for some positive changes and improvements to the property. It's been a little slow going as we are in June and just informed that an outside company was hired to audit our books. That was one of the BIG issues brought up in the fall and the new Board and management company waiting 6 months to have our books audited? Makes us wonder where the real focus is.

Overall, as long as CMA is no longer our management company, we feel much a HUGH weight lifted and feel better about the future of our property.

It's a great place to live, not to mention an incredible location.
