NICE building MEAN management
if you want to feel at home in your own home, DONT live here! i am currently living here and hate it. the building itself is beautiful. the views are nice, the pool is nice, the gym is nice. BUT the management ruins this place. they need to RELAX. theyre incredibly uptight. if you park in an undesignated spot for as long as 2 seconds they are already towing your car. the management are supposed to have a relationship with the occupants of the building, instead they are rude and extremely UNHELPFUL. whenever you have a question that actually pertains to something that matters, they can't give you an answer. all they are concerned with is towing your car without warning you (meanwhile they are so disorganized that they never even assigned you a spot in the first place, even though it was promised in the lease).If you come to them with an issue of importance, they literally cut you off as if you are not important and say "I'm sorry but i need to go do (insert useless activity here) and cant help you!" they also only care about making sure you dont swim in the pool after its closed (which closes stupidly early by the way), and making sure you dont listen to music or watch TV in the gym if its after 8PM because you might "disturb other people." i'm telling you now, the occupant down the hall is not going to wakeup from me watching a TV at a volume even i can barely hear. For goodness sake, i feel like i am living in a jail. the rules go on and on and on. you can't even let your visitor park in the garage after the valet closes at 11... and there is no parking on the street. if i'm paying rent and living here, i should be able to let my own guest park in my garage... THERE ARE TONS OF VISITOR SPOTS! in addition, one time the rude valet-- who is supposed to be free-- had the nerve to ask my guest to tip him! well, he didnt. and the next time he refused to valet his car because the seat was "too wet". actually, the seat was completely dry. so since i wasnt aloud to let my guest in the garage he had to go home because there was no parking on the street. one of the reasons i chose to live here was the free valet.. well im sorry but THAT is NOT free valet. or valet at all actually. overall the management likes to give the illusion that they are on top of their shit by being so strict, but i see right through this. in reality, the management lacks any structure... they do not work to solve important issues at this residence... rather, they just work hard to discipline their occupants. no wonder the building is going bankrupt and constantly changing owners. who would want to live in such an uptight environment? this is not a place to come home from a hard day at work and unwind! i cant even get over how rude and unprofessional they are. Hence, why i'm moving out. And i know several others on my floor who agree and are thinking about doing the same. oh and one more sign that the management focuses on petty issues (like annoying the residents) and does not focus on what is actually IMPORTANT is the fact that 2 appartments got robbed in one day! great job management!

Incredible. From the day I arrived, the security system in place was better than anything even the TSA could imagine. These security guards couldn't speak a word of english but policed the building better the folks at San Quentin State Prison. As the poster mentioned above, my car was almost towed (somehow got back 2 days before it was happening) and they made no attempt to notify me despite the fact that my name was within their database and a simple call could have allowed for one of my roommates to move my car out of the "valet" zone that was rarely beyond 25% occupied. In addition, I received several 5 am phone calls in broken english that my car was in the wrong place even though it wasn't. Note to Puerta de Palmas, this ain't South America! In the UNITED STATES we value politeness and competence and don't put up with this garbage. How would you guys like it if the minutemen or KKK patrolled your building 24/7 and threatened to take your possessions? It would suck. No one even apologized for nearly towing the vehicle. The apartment police also left several messages on my car in broken english that I didn't have a clue what the fuck they meant. If you want rude people who no speak english, this place may be for you! If you want a good location with nice people, stay the fuck away!
