Gem in the midst of El Cajon
Chose to move to Villa Grigio after reading horrible reviews of other apartments throughout the SD area. There weren't any reviews on the Villa Grigio, good or bad, which was a promising sign since most people only feel compelled to write a review on places they hate or the property management writes extravagent false reviews. (Glad to put in a legit good review) The property is really nice and the units were recently renovated and are super nice. There are stacked washer/dryer combos in each unit which is awesome. Often, we drive by a dirty, scetchy laudrymat 1/2 a block away and are thankful we never have to go there! Many of the units are owner occupied so they have a lot of respect for the complex and for the most part so do the renters. The place is generally quite, but depending on the renters that come and go (I'm a renter by the way), it can get noisy at times. The long term renters or owners are mostly older and quite. <br/><br/>Some of the dog owners are a bit retarded and let their dogs poop and pee right at entrances and seem to ignore this (even after the property management sending out notes to prevent this), which boggles my mind since everyone has to walk there. They also let their dogs pee in the grass (despite the signs explicitly stating otherwise) and ruin the excellent work and care that makes the interior of the complex so pretty (not to mention the pee stench). By the way the interior has tons of really nice topical foliage. <br/><br/>You'll probably run into annoying neighbors at every apartment, so this place is probably great in comparison.<br/><br/>The real downside is that it's in El Cajon. It's not the greatest part of El Cajon, but could be worse.
