Very Disapointed
I moved into a 2 bedroom unit in August. My lease specified that we were to receive a valet spot and an assigned spot in the garage. The building got rid of the valet program but will not give us another assigned spot even though most of the garage is empty. Therefore, my roommate and I take turns parking in the garage meaning that one of us must fight for street parking (which is rarely available not to mention the fact that I am constantly worried that my car will be broken into on the street as the surrounding area is not very nice). I spoke with the building manager about this issue however she was extremely rude and unhelpful. I noticed this the first time I visited the building but I was in desperate need of new place. However, the building needs to hire a new building manager who has adequate customer service skills.<br/>The hot tub is no longer working nor are the treadmills in the gym and for the past 5 months there has been no attempt to fix these problems. The building has a large staff of maintainence personell but I am not sure what they do. I needed help with a maintainence problem in my unit but I was told that the none of the 4-5 maintainence people could help me. Homeowners fees could be reduced significantly if the number of staff members were reduced. As well, homeowners are paying for ammentities (hot tub, treadmills, garage parking spots) that we are not receiving. Homeowners fees should be reduced accordingly. <br/>Further, the Dadeland area is not very nice as compared to Brickell and other areas of Miami. Overall, I will be gone at the end of my lease and would not recommend the Colonnade.
