Building is Ok, but a lot of room for improvements
I have been living at Mediterranea almost for 2 years now, I've seen more improvements since then, example they put new carpets on the hallways, the building just got painted few weeks ago and the walls in the parking garage where the water used to filter thru when it rain got sealed. The pool has been maintened clean for the last two months., the "gym" if you can call it that, only have a treadmill, and few other weight lifting machines...... but you need to go down to the lobby and ask the security guard for a key to get in and leave your driver license until you bring the key back.......... Yep! I'm Excited that I'm moving out of this building! You can hear eveything your neighbors talk, even what TV show they're watching........ walls are not sound proof!!!!! Another bad thing is if you live facing east you can only go with Comcast as your cable carrier, because you can't have satellite or AT&T due to the way the building is facing......! Only good thing about the building your visitors don't have to pay for parking!!!! also, the building is close to Miracle mile on the Gables, Airport, major highways such as I-95, Turnpike, Palmetto and you;re about 15 minutes from the Beach and Downtown area.

Take a tour and ask how everything works before getting to excited! We were told we could have Direct TV and when the guy came to install it we got almost yelled at because the association PROHIBITS having a "dish" on the balcony, eventhough they are some apartments that do (but the association say they changed the rules recently). Try to meet your neighbors before moving in as the walls are really THIN!!! We have get-togethers from time to time on the weekends (approx. 5-6 ppl), no parties or anything like that and one of our neighbors constantly complains about them (at 11pm!!!) Ask if your neighbors have babies... we have to deal with one crying almost 3 times per wk at night...<br/>The game room... it looks nice but wait if you actually want to use it you have to reserve it a week earlier and give them a deposit of $250, so if you feel like playing pool a friday you can't if you forget to reserve it first... The gym is absolute joke, and the whole going downstairs giving the guard your ID, showing him a towel, then going up to the gym/pool and then going back to get your ID is ridiculous!!!! Guards are constantly fired because the management is CRAZY!!! they have all these STUPID rules that don't make sense. The gym and pool are only open until 11pm. <br/>Arghhh We were so happy when we saw the apartment that we didn't realize what we were getting into... Please RESEARCH!!! <br/>On the bright side: Great location, close to almost everything, love the huge balcony and my wooden floors (most of the other apartments have carpet)

Horrible place to live, I mean, the building is nice but some people makes it really annoying. Will follow the rating order: 1) Amenities: No great things here. If you want to use anything (Pool, Gym, Clubhouse) you either need to reserve it, pay money, or go to the front desk and leave your ID and show a towel to the guard (?). To be honest the pool is not so great, the gym is a joke, and nobody uses the clubhouse. 2) Location: Of course location is good but not WOW!. 3) For what you get and the inconvenience is everything over there, believe me, it is too expensive... 4) Management: This is a total NO-GO for this place. As I saw in a previous review, management is crazy. They charge you for nothing when you move, they don't let you do anything; having visitors is a problem; if a visitor comes more than a couple of days they want you to make that person apply for a lease (WTH?!!!), can not use the visitor parking for more than two days in a week, etc. You're not allowed to have pets, you're not allowed to have satellite TV; you can not ask them to hold you a package, and for almost everything you must go to the front desk and show ID. Watch out cause they have a guy that lives there that will threat you saying they have cameras everywhere and they will caught you if you do something outside the rules (WTH!!!!!! again!!!). 5) Community: People is not bad actually, but the apartments walls are too thin so you will hear everything from your neighbors and, of course, they will hear you too.<br/>For that money go somewhere else, there are great condos in the area in the same price range or even for less. Would you pay to live in a jail? THINK ABOUT IT! Don't waste your time and money. We are really happy we were able to get out of there.

This place is horrible!!!!! Architectural wise the building is quite nice, but the people in the association and the ones creating ridiculous rules are the worst people on this planet. Lived here for a year and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!! Glad i left!!!!!

Paper walls!
I haven�t had a good night sleep in almost a year. You can feel your neighbors as they were in your unit. I can hear then, talk, sneeze, and even pee!! Gross! The amenities are not good either. The gym is very small and doesn�t water fountain inside. The pool is frequently dirty and doesn�t have bathroom around. You need to go to the gym to use the bathroom. Since they have a lot of foreclosure or owners not paying for maintenance you need to go to the lobby and leave your driver license to access the gym or the pool area. Overall the only good thing about this building is the proximity to Coral Gables/Airport/highway.
