who oversee this building?
I was visiting this site for possible rental, the owner was showing the property and I could not believe the mice and roach that was running loose in the laundry room and hold way. I don't think this is the place for me. Oh YEAH what is going on outside with the yellow tape and building, the parking lot could use some tidy up.

can not maintain consistency
I have lived here for over 8 yrs. and I have seen the coming and going of staff some pretty good some lousy, what is puzzling is why the Board and Office management can not keep the good vendors. We finally got ride of the roaches and mice and now they are back, the new exterminator does not service well when you are on the list they do not show, and a neighbor said they threw a sticky trap in the AC/HEAT closet They corner only the kitchen sink door with some glue nothing else . No spray, no service for bathrooms or other area now the place have roaches and mice. I got too happy with other vendor, they killed the mice in the walls and now the laundry room have mice and roaches the trash chute did not smell. I spoke with office and was told by management that they were doing a great job. But management does not LIVE HERE.

Just being honest...
DONT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! Rats mice roaches infestation and your car WILL GET TOWED if you park on the line and for a visitor to get parking after 12 they need a visitors pass to stay and the front desk always runs out.... I currently live here but I am desperately looking for another place... The main office is just as bad, I have left numerous amounts of messages for the manager but for some reason she's never in the office and never calls back... Overall this is just a bad place to live in.... For visitors if they get more than 30 visitor passes over the amount of time living here you will not get any more passes for that visitor, each vistor is only allowed to have 30 visitor passes the whole time you live there I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. I asked the office that if one person comes to visit me 1 time a year for 30 years, on the 31st year they aren't allowed to stay... I'm a 24 year old guy that lives alone and my girlfriend at times spends the night with me now she's not able to get a parking pass... Obj and I forgot to mention that you have to reserve the elevator when ever you want to move something in or out your apartment if you don't reserve the elevator you will be fined $250.00... I brought 2 bar stools up to my apartment I had one chair in each hand and I was NOT taking up much space in the elevator and it only took me one trip and they are charging me $250.00 just for that.... At the end of the day I recommend that if your looking for a place to live DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! You will regret it...

What a dump
I lived here for several years. Terrible rodent and bug problem . The AC sucks. It depends how close the the water chiller is to your unit. Miserable office staff and lazy maintenance staff. Why has the pool been closed for 2 years. That was the one positive thing about living here. Donor live here it’s awful

Rodents roaches and such will be your neighbor if you live here. Exhaust fans on the roof rarely work. Odd smells fill the hallways. The pool which is probably the nicest feature of this building being closed is just pathetic. These towers have a history of bricks buckling and crashing through the lobby ceiling. Living there for 5 years was more than enough!

First things first, the information on the main page is out of date. The convenience store has changed hands, and at least as of 3/10 (the last time I went down there) there was no Lotto or ATM. They've taken down the sign for the sauna, so I don't know if that's still open or not. The BIG problem is that for the past two years the outdoor pool has NOT been open. it's a very nice pool with an adjoining kids pool, but like I said, it hasn't been open. As to "walking distance" amenities- That's a Rite Aid, not a CVS. Further, the safeway closed at least four years ago and was replaced by a Bestway Supermercado. <br/><br/>All that said, I still live here. The floorplans are quite spacious for the price, and the thick walls keep neighbor noise fairly low. As to public transit, a UMD bus (i think it's the 108) stops out front, as does the R1 Metrobus. within walking distance you can also get the K6 and #20 Ride-on on New Hampshire ave and the R2 & R5 on riggs road. There are at least one washer ($1) and one dryer ($.75) per floor and it's not usually difficult to find an open one. Over-the-Air TV reception is good, at least above the treeline, with baltimore and DC channels available.<br/><br/>As to the other review on this site, please be aware that this building has "single pipe" Central heat and AC, and they have had problems over the years with the "chiller" to run the AC. This means that although you can run the blower unit year round to circulate air, it can get quite hot in april before they (heh heh, TRY to) turn on the AC.
