Quiet Enjoyment?
Buildings have an ongoing problem with the hot water pipes, which restrict water flow and fairly often require attention from maintenance. Clubroom, Exercise Room and Game Room are in serious need of updating. I have been here 8 plus years and the same incomplete sets of billiard balls on the worn out billiard tables from circa 1977 occupy the premises (not good for much). The lack of guest parking is also an issue.<br/><br/>If you live along the perimeter, this means you live on the "dog walk" and although management has set rules and provides dropping bags, the dog owners do not always use them. If that isn't bad enough, this means you will also live on the flea infested zone, which apparently goes untreated by lawn maintenance and results in a constant battle for residents with pets, even if their pets never go outside. <br/><br/>And, if you live downstairs and happen to have rude neighbors who are up all night long making noise or waking you at 5 am every morning stomping like a herd of elephants, that is just too bad. My upstairs neighbor removed all carpet replacing it with linoleum, which apparently makes the perfect surface for her son to skateboard over my head....yes...I said skateboard. His second favorite activity seems to be bouncing balls, usually between midnight and 5 am. And, there is frequent noise from fighting between the owner and her ex husband, which often results in the police being called out. You have more protection living in an apartment complex, where these people would have surely been evicted years ago. However, because they are "owners" of a condo, it is another ballgame. The Homeowner's Association and management company should have a duty to protect other owners and their tenants from this kind of abuse. Whatever happened to "Quiet Enjoyment"?<br/><br/>
