Proximity to Cove Island Park, a few minutes’ drive or 18 minute walk. we think its the best beach and park in Fairfield County. It has a playground for children, a snack shack during the summer months, tennis courts, ice skating rinks, a beach, kayaking, jogging/biking/walking trails and barbecue grills. We spend a lot of time at this park with our son. As well as many evenings and weekends enjoying the facilities. We taught him how to ride a scooter and how to swim here. 2. The front deck is small but efficient. Our included bbq grill is great for entertaining. The deck is private enough to be shielded from the street by tall trees. It's our urban oasis. 3. 10 minutes to downtown Stamford and all of its restaurants, theaters, the mall and shopping. Plenty of options for food delivery. Our favorite restaurants are Bartaco, Kashi, Casa Villa, El Charritto, Blue Ginger, Barcelona. Plenty of Ubers available. 4. Less than 30 minutes to Westchester Airport. 40 minutes to LGA, 45 minutes to JFK. Under 2 hours to Hartford's Bradley airport. We like flying to Florida from Bradley as the parking is fantastic and there's hardly any traffic getting there. 5. We can park four cars in our driveway so it's great when family and friends come to visit. We are so close to the beach, the street has enforced parking rules. We can purchase 3 visitor tags yearly ($15 each) to park on the street. Overall 7 cars can be parked around the house. 6. Quiet street, and friendly neighbors. Many have lived here for years and work and study in this community. Our son's nanny is down the street from us and his daycare is a few houses away. During our walks, the neighbors are very friendly. 7. Three major grocery stores nearby. Traders Joe's in Darien, Shop n Stop and Shop Rite in Stamford. We often use Instacart for food deliveries. Costco is nearby in Norwalk. 8. The commute to Grand Central Station in 46 minutes. There is a huge parking lot next to the Stamford Train Station where you can park your cars for a Daily, Weekly or Monthly rate parking. During winter snow we sometimes take the bus to Stamford Train Station. It’s a direct route to the station from East Main street which is steps from our front door.
